Welcome to the Fuzzy Days, that odd period between Christmas and New Years', where work gets done but by whom, no one really knows as everyone is either munching on holiday sweets, drinkin' at the waterhole or daydreaming online...

Well, we're having none of that here at BHE; we're solid, Made In America types, which means we work even dang harder this time of the year, since we have so much freer time (see above - some of y'all need to start buying stuff, dangit! Put that nog n' brandy and that snickerdoodle down and click!!) To that end, your esteemed persnickety primate is whacking away at the wireless keyboard to bring you some insight into something you may have not seen yet or haven't ahd a chance to really peruse: the Chauvet SlimPar Family!

The SlimPars are such a great idea, you wonder why it took so long for someone to think of it - well, like any new technology, the LED is now starting to really hit it's stride as R&D in the US (from Lighting companies such as Chauvet) are pressing Chinese manufacturers to be more inventive. We don't know who came to who, or who might have started the 'puck' trend, but we do know that the Chauvet SlimPars are effective, value priced, and slick as all get out!

The SlimPar 38 is a nice little Par 38 puck that delivers a good, strong beam; the spot is bright, and a bit fuzzy at the edges, for a soft impact. Small, strart-up DJ's or small lighting needs are the calling card for the SlimPar 38's. The middle brother, the SlimPar 56 is just as good as it's little brother, but has a much longer throw as well as the larger radius spot and is BRIGHT. Perfect for mid-market DJ's or restaurants/clubs needing low profile lighting. For those who need the full power of a Par 64, the SlimPar 64 can't be beat - lightweight, powerful, and 1/4 the size of a traditional Par can, the 64 is the number once choice for large productions  (like weddings) that use a lot of uplighting -  putting 40 of these in a van or small truck? Child's play!

Aside from the awesome form-factor, the Chauvet SlimPars have very little power draw (a plus for hotels, ballrooms, rental houses, &c that plan on permanent installations) and generate ZERO heat - small venues won't have to worry about heat build up in the room. Considerably less expensive than ColoRADO Battens or Mega Bars, while they may not cover the same area in terms of wash uplighting, they are easily serviceable as steppingstones to the aforementioned.
